I loveee smoothies. My fav here is the sweetheart smoothie and it is also one of the cheaper options as well. I get it everytime and it never disappoints! You order in the back then pay at the front of the store!

Cute market downtown with a large variety of food/snack options that have bare minimum ingredients. They have tons of vitamins and supplements as well. Why I come here though is for the phenomenal smoothie bar. There are not a lot of places in the city with interesting/fun smoothies but this place sure is. I got the Brazilian and it was packed with flavor, and filling. My partner loves them as well, the one she likes I believe was called Bun in the Sun. They are a bit pricey but for how fun, consistent and filling they are, they are worth it.

Great smoothies with lots of add on options. The staff at the counter is super helpful and patient with you and the smoothies are ready quickly. The store also has a great selection of supplements, raw honey, and other health food items. Definitely worth visiting.

Got to be the best place on the Near North Side to get healthy food and groceries. It also isn't as expensive as it could be, with many discounts available for signing up. Chicago Health Foods is a small store but it's bigger than it looks. Has a deli and smoothie counter, and indoor dining area with a few tables. This has plenty of options for meaty, plant based, or whoever. Came the last time for lunch. It's not usually that busy in here, but they make it all to order. There's a wait, but it's not very long though. Has a pretty big menu. It's about $8 for a smoothie. I had the Avena Sweet Super Shake which was made with almond milk, apples, bananas, dates, and oats. She had the Veg Out Smoothie which was made with apple juice, avocados, bananas, carrots, dates, pineapple, spinach, and spirulina. Good and filling. It's about $5 to get one of the premade salads in the case, and we got the Vegan Turmeric Salad. This was made with chickpeas and quinoa among other things. It's about $7 for a sandwich. There's burgers and there's ones for vegetarians. Hard to choose. I got the Falafel wrap, which came with cucumbers, feta that I left off, onions, spinach, and tomatoes. She got the Veggie Wrap, which came with avocados, balsamic vinaigrette, green peppers, hummus, onions, and tomatoes. A lot of vegetables to drink and eat. The menu also features Beyond Burgers for more plant based options. Have to sign up for the rewards and you can free stuff from here. It's also got plenty of healthy grocery items. There's lots to get for vegans and vegetarians.

I heard about this spot a couple of times on social media and finally stopped by since I was in the area - despite how long the wait was (20-25 min wait on Saturday morning) and how pricey my smoothie was $16.99, $18 after tax), it was sooo good. I got the Bun in the Sun and it was so yummy! Super coconut-y and not too sweet. I want to try the other ones (which are a little cheaper) so I'm hoping to come back again! The smoothie bar is located in the back of the health foods store and they also offer a variety of other items like juices and sandwiches. You order and they give you a ticket to pay at the front!

Got some cool snacks here that I haven't seen anywhere else! Perfect for someone managing a specialized diet and needing low carb and low sugar options. Very excited to try them. + - Great selection - Very nice and helpful staff - Reasonable prices compared to similar health food stores I've been to I didn't see any vegan cheeses or pistachio milk, which were the specific things I was looking for, but I know they are very niche items and not in the highest demand.

Great place for sandwiches and smoothies! Got the Amish chicken sandwich and it was great. They are very accommodating for gluten free peeps like myself. They have gluten free bread, pita, and buns. Will definitely go back in the summer and bring it to the beach.

I like Chicago Health Foods, but I think it is pricey. The staff is friendly, but it can be hard to find them (sometimes there is no one at the register or there is no one at the counter in back). I really appreciate that they're on Too Good To Go and have purchased fun mystery bags of their leftover prepared foods!
